Lost souls are those souls that have not yet found peace in this world which is why they constantly roam seeking the peace they need to leave. Often, these “lost souls” have regrets or unfinished business which is why they stay until those regrets and unfinished business are sorted. These are the souls that do not harm anyone, as they are simply searching for the peace they need to leave this world behind.
What is this “ungo” called? What is your personal experience with this “ungo”?
The ungo was most probably a ghost, a lost soul of a child. Our house is situated near a dried up river. During the evenings, even while I am studying, I could hear rats running around as if they were scared. Around 11-12 midnight, I would hear the constant cries of a child. Sometimes, I could even hear a child crying out, “mama…mama”
What is something you know about this “ungo”?
Due to the fact that we lived by a dried up river, I think this child drowned in that river before it dried up. The child was yet to find peace despite his passing. Like other lost souls, I think that the child needs a mass or to inform his parents of his passing to finally put his soul to rest.
How did you feel during this encounter?
I felt that humans, whether living or dead, still have feelings and that their souls must find peace with those feelings, before they finally feel like they can leave this world with no regrets.
What would you advise someone if they were to encounter this “ungo”?
Pray for them. I would advise them to say a prayer for these lost souls, and for all those souls, in order for them to find peace.
